Carl Jung’s “collective consciousness” and Rupert Sheldrake’s “synchronicity” have always drawn my interest. The drawing has been from my spirit though and not my intellect, nor my ego (are they different?). My ego doesn’t want to have anything to do with any GROUP concepts. But, we are fast approaching a time when the few, the powerful, will no longer run the world as they have in the past. 

I am not at the point where I can agree with those who say we’re leaving the age of Pisces which Jesus ushered in: you know, the FISH! 

And therefore the reasoning or thinking is that we’re entering the time of Aquarius where the WATER (of the Spirit) is being poured out on all of us. If you line up ten people with knowledge of the Zodiac you will et eleven opinions as to when the “Age Of Aquarius” really begins. It may be a fact that is what’s happening. I’m just not clear on that yet.

What I do sense, again without total intellectual clarity, though is that we’re moving from the Hopi 4th Sun to the 5th Sun. As with the Toltecs and Incas, this is a time of fusing of the male and female, into a more joint and cooperative existence. Yes, guys, male chauvinism and patriarchy are toast- make yow own damn breakfast!

Yet, in order for that to happen, we as a species must learn to value and encourage the contribution of every individual; no one piece is more important than another.”

If the Planet X Theory is a valid one there must have been several historical visitations in the past since so the theory goes, it’s pattern takes it through our solar system every 3,600 years or so. Could the last time have been the Egyptian Pharoah story found in the Bible and the ten plagues? And could the time before then have been what the Sumerians called Marduk or Nibiru? 

Many historical accounts get credited to this so-called tenth planet. Entire civilizations have been wiped out, islands and whole continents havs disappeared, and global cataclysms have been attributed to Marduk’s visit (otherwise known as the planet of crossing).

The earliest known people of the Fertile Crescent were the Sumerians. About 4000 B.C. they lived in southern Mesopotamia in a number of independent city-states.The history of Sumer, taken to include the prehistoric Ubaid and Uruk periods, spans the 5th to 3rd millennia BC, ending with the downfall of the Third Dynasty of Ur around 2004 BC.

So what was the message in the Sumerian’s Book of Enki?. Here’s but a few sentences.

“The sound of a rolling thunder boomed lightning’s the skies lit lit up….at the Earth’s bottom (Aouth Pole), the foundations were shaking. Then witht the roar of a thousand thunders equal, off it’s foundations the ice sheet slipped, by Nibiru’s unseen net force it was pulled away, into the South Sea crashing. Only a few of us survived.”

While there is much we don’t know, this we do know/ From the ancient Sumerian writing on down through the Egyptians, Maya, Toltecs, Inca, Olmecs, Aztecs, Hopi, Cherokee, Norse, Celts, Chinese, and Eskimo cultures, we have common stories. These stories speak of a red celectial object approaching the Earth which causes floods, earthquakes, and volcanic activity. A red dust causes the sun and moon to turn blood red bringing with it hailstones of fire, iron falling from the sky, and changes in day-night sequences.

Ultimately the result is a human migration (for survival).

Are these just wild stories, myths, and metaphorical messages from the likes of ancient Gods such as Marduk, or have all of these past societies and cultures been describing the last two fly-bys of Planet X, Nibiru, or Marduk? We only have about another 12-18 months to guess. Somewhee in that time frame we’ll either put the myths to bed or we’ll realize what lies ahead in 2012 will take an exponential jump in human consciousness to survive.

We probably need that anyway!

In the heart of the Mayan hoopla about 2012 and thier long count calendar or 13 baktun, the Toltec’s have been overlooked. The word Toltec in Mesoamerican studies has been used in different ways by different scholars to refer to actual populations and polities of pre-Columbian central Mexico or to the mythical ancestors mentioned in the mythical/historical narratives of the Aztecs.

People like don Miguel Ruiz do not see the Toltec as a race or nation but “scientists and artists who formed a society to explore and conserve the spiritual knowledge and practices of the ancient ones.”

It is an ongoing debate whether the Toltecs can be understood to have formed an actual ethnic group at any point in Mesoamerican history or if they are mostly or only a product of Aztec myth. But, the scholars who have understood the Toltecs to have been an actual ethnic group often connect them to the archeological site of Tula, Hidalgo which is then supposed to have been the Tollan of Aztec myth.

But let us go on to the next word: nagual.

Nagual has a two sided meaning as well. In modern rural Mexico the nagual is often the same as “witches” or “brujos” who are thought to be able to shapeshift into animals at night (normally into an owl or  bat). Others see naguals ass the wise masters with spiritual knowledge from the ancient of days.

The ancient prophet-ruler of the Toltecs, Quetzalcoatl (the Feathered Serpent). Spaniards made a slaughter of the Indians in the name of Christ, though His message was love, and so too had the Aztecs fallen away from the similar teachings of Quetzalcoatl. Quetzalcoatl’s message of love and wisdom is reflected in the following advice of an Aztec noble to his sons- “Take great pains to make yourselves friends of God who is in all parts, and is invisible and impalpable, and it is meet that you give Him all your heart and body”.

Quetzalcoatl delivered a message of love, forbidding the blood sacrifice, teaching of the One Supreme God, and giving the Toltecs many material things of their culture, such as the calendar. And it’s from that calendar that so much of the 2012 bruhaha has come.

Maybe we need a little more attention to the Toltecs and less about the Mayans. Maybe?

With so many ancient civilizations giving credence to advanced societies from our past history, it’s amazing that we continue to believe the world was created 6,000 years ago or that Darwin’s evolutionary scenario has any validity. There are some things, like nuclear wars tens of thousands of years ago that are hard to fathom, but there’s other evidence that’s hard to negate.  

From South of the border and north of Mexico City comes the Toltec tales and legends.

The Toltec shamans share in the belief that there were two such civilizations such as Lemuria and Atlantis, but they add a third group that few others mention and that land of Monkeys. According to Toltec legend the land of Monkeys and Lemuria fought a major battle with Atlantis (a nuclear one). While this sounds too weird to be true, since we moderns know it all, others share the same story.

The sacred Vedantic scriptures of India tell of such a nuclear war: in the legends of Rama.

But, moving from the past to the present and future, Toltec shamans believe we are living in the fifth sun or the Fifth Humanity as they call it. And we’re sustained by the Fifth Sun- of course that would be our sun which the earth evolves around. You know, the heliocentric principle that the church disbelieved until just a few hundred years ago. 

Finally, legend and belief has it that beginning in 1992 and ending in 2012, we will progress into the sixth sun or Sixth Humanity. We’re now experiencing (and have been since 1992) a different vibration to life though most are not aware of it. Forerunners that will lead us into this new era are already here. I would assume they’re talking about the likes of Indigo, Star, and Crystal children that the likes of Meg Blackburn Losey speaks and writes.

Of course the Toltecs wound up sharing many of their beliefs with the Mayans from whom so many 2012 scenarios come. What can’t be denied are the amazingly similar stories told by the Toltecs, Mayans, Hopi, Cherokee, Egyptian, Sumerian, and many other ancient and current cultures.

Where’s all this leading?

When one sees the phrase, ancient timekeepers, most people with any historical training, think Mayans. However, throughout history there have been timekeepers, gate keepers, shamans, medicine men, mystics, and a plethora of truly unique people…..who were really just ordinary people who were awakened to the reaility of the spirit beings that they were and that we ALL are. 



The title “Ancient Timekeepers” is a misnomer in many ways since everything IS NOW! 

Ancient is a relative term for us here on earth in our physical bodies. Time? What is time when there is no such thing in the spirit world, and how do we know that anyway? How did the Mayans know there would be a galatic crossing on December 21, 2012? Why did they begin their calendar in August of 3113BC? And what about other ancient civilizations, like the Egyptians?

Who could have thought up the Dendera Zodiac?

The Dendera teple in Egypt was dedicated to the goddess Hathor. In the Dendera temple complex in Egypt, an at the top of the ceiling in The Temple of Hathor at Dendera is a schematic drawing showing the constellations as they appeared when the disk was constructed. This ancient celestial map depicts and calculates the Earth’s journey from one zodiac sign to another and shows the 25,625 year precessional cycle. The original is now found in the Louvre museum in Paris.

The precision of the images on the disk representing the polestar, which changes every 15,000 years (Thuban was the polestars during the time of the Biblical Exodus) defies our logic or ability to understand. And so too is it with the Hopi Indians and other ancient civilizations. The Aztec, Toltec, and Incan timekeepers baffle us. How did they know? What did they know? Maybe even the question WHO did they know?

So, instead of blowing off ancient myth and legend, maybe we should do a bit more study of what they had to say. What could they be telling and wanting us to know?

The Toltec culture and people were known throughout Southern Mexico as “men and women of knowledge”. These master naguals gathered around the ancient city of pyramids known as Teotihuacan. Most often this city was known as the place where “Man becomes God”. One of their descendants has brought the ancient culture forward. 

Don Miguel Ruiz was raised by a Toltec family wherein the mother was a curandera (healer) and the grandfather was a nagual (shaman). Ruiz has written several books of which his book, The Voice Of Knowledge, contained four principles worth applying to our lives.

1-Be Impeccable In Your Word

We are our word and it’s critical that we measure what we say and are cautious to be able to perform it. Once people know that what we say can be counted on, our words will have great force.

2-Don’t Take Anything Personally

This has to be one of the most difficult principles to follow. Each person has their own story, wear different glasses, and see from an entirely different viewpoint than we do, so why do we get upset when they see things differently than we do?

3-Don’t Make Assumptions

We worry about so many things that we know will come to pass- that don’t! The addage is that when you liveyour life based on assumptions, you wind up making an ASS- out of U- and ME. The goal is to KNOW and not ASS-U-ME!

4-Always Do Your Best

When you ive life your best there’s nothing to regret. If we fall short but we did all we knew to do and were capable of doing, there’s no lingering guilt or “what if” mind games to contend.

We humans are too often victimized by what we know- that’s not true: it’s just what we think we know. Unless we are prepared to “let go” of our sacred cows and truly examine our lives, we can’t profrees. We can’t be transformed. Plato had it right- “Know thyself” and then you can begin to understand others.

Ancient lore and mythology makes for interesting bedfellows. The book of Genesis has Adam as the first man, first male. Ancient Greeks believed the first man was Pelasgus whereas the Toltecs, on the other side of the globe called the first man Tollan. Both came from the same source though according to Herodotus and Toltec folklore- and maybe actual history?

Greek history has a precise match for the four historical castastrophies that geologists and other scientists now are coming into agreement with in larger numbers. The Greeks wrote of four floods which were named: Phorcys-Dardanus, Ogyges,  Deucalion, and Atlantis. In Greek myth, according to Herodotus and others, Phorcys was the founder of the Agean civilization and the leader of the people known as Pelagians (sea people).

The Hebrew Bible in Genesis, combines the stories of two of the four floods.

Pelasgus is depicted in ancient Greek art as having been disgorged from a massive sea snake. That same image appears on the other side of the world in MesoAmerican mytholoy of the feathered Serpent Tollan, Tolan, or Tolán is the name used for the capital city of two empires of Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica; first for Teotihuacan, and later for the Toltec capital of Tula.

After the collapse of the Teotihuacan empire, central Mexico broke into various petty states. The Toltec created the first sizable Mexican empire after the fall of Teotihuacan, and their capital was referred to by the same name as a reference to the earlier greatness of Teotihuacan.

What was once believed to have been separate and wild stories from many civilizations are now coming together as one united picture that has implications for 2012 and beyond for those that aren’t living in a presuppositional world that’s frozen in concrete.
